2015 Election – The United Progressive Party (UPP) reportedly announced thier concluded arrangements to pick its presidential candidate ahead of 2015 general election.
At an interview session with newsmen in Abuja, the National Chairman of the party, Chief Chekwas Okorie said contrary to insinuations in some quarters, the UPP would not merge with any other political party for the elections.
Chief Okorie said the party was determined to contest the 2015 Presidential election to test its strength and acceptability among Nigerians.
Out of the twenty eight registered political parties, the UPP is one of the three that have indicated interest in fielding a Presidential candidate in next year’s elections.
Already the PDP and APC have begun the process of electing their Presidential flag bearers.
