Charles Okah Trial: Court orders re-examination of Okah’s mental state

A Federal High court in Abuja has ordered that a terrorism suspect, Mr Charles Okah be re-examined by three other Psychiatric Doctors to ascertain whether he is mentally sound enough to stand trial.

Justice Gabriel Kolawole gave the order when the matter came-up for trial yesterday.
The suspect is standing trial for the 2010 Independence Day Bombing that killed about ten people, leaving many other wounded.

Justice Gabriel Kolawale had on the 4th of December last year ordered that the suspect be subjected to Psychiatric examination; however the content of that Psychiatric report was not disclosed.

The suspect was brought to court amidst heavy security on a wheel chair.
Mr Charles Okah is standing trial with one Obi Nwabueze.
The case has been adjourned to the 2nd of April.
