May/June 2015 WAEC Examination Best Students Emerge

The Best Students for the West African Examination Council (WAEC) have been revealed by WAEC on Thursday. The list contains the 3 most outstanding students from the students who sat for the May/June 2015 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE). May/June 2015 WAEC Examination Best StudentsThe May/June 2015 WAEC Examination Best Students were Babalola David Oluwasayo, Alabi Philip Toluwase and Nkata Lewechi Ugonma who took first, second and third positions respectively. Babalola who took eight subjects scored 673,7626. Alabi who took the second position also took eight subjects and scored 667,1802, while Nkata in eight subjects scored 660,2430 to emerge the third place winner.

Currently, these three awardees have already been admitted into different universities for their university programs. Babalola is already studying Medicine and Surgery at the University of Ibadan. Alabi is also studying Medicine and Surgery at the University of Ibadan. Nkata Currently studies Chemical engineering at the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom.waec2

The awardees were represented in the award day by their parents and families as they were all reportedly engaged with exams in the various tertiary institutions. The award held during the 54th Annual Meeting of Nigeria National Committee of WAEC in Agidingbi, Lagos.

Schools Award Category

There was also award for the secondary schools producing the best male and female candidates in the May/June 2015 WAEC examinations. Oritamefa Baptist Model School won the Trophy for producing the best male candidate. Meanwhile, the Loyola Jesuit College, Abuja, wins the Trophy for producing the best female candidate in the May/June 2015 WAEC.

  • Lagoon School, Lekki: The winner of the WAEC Endowment Fund Prize Books for producing the first best aggregate results in the May/June 2015 WASSCE in Lagos State
  • Sagab College, Ikorodu, Lagos: Winner of the WAEC Endowment Fund Prize Books for producing the Second best aggregate results.
  • Wellspring College, Omole Phase 2, Ikeja, Lagos: WAEC Endorsement Fund Prize Books for producing the third best aggregate results.
  • Loyola Jesuit College, Abuja also won the Augustus Bamidele Oyediran trophy for producing the best overall results in the May/June.
