The Federal Government and Trade Unions in Public Radio and Television Stations in the country have resolved to work towards adequate funding of the establishments.
The President of RATTAWU, Comrade Yemisi Bamigbose stated this in Abuja while announcing the suspension of the three day warning strike embarked upon by NUJ and RATTAWU members.
Comrade Bamigbose and his counterpart in NUJ, Mallam Mohammed Garba, said after meeting with representatives of government, that the strike has been called off with effect from today.
Comrade Bamgbose said after elaborate consultations, the two parties resolved that efforts would be stepped up to actualise adequate funding of the agencies.
The Supervising Minister of Information, Nurudeen Mohammed led the government side of the deliberations.
