2 Nigerian Airforce pilots killed in plane crash in Niamey

Breaking News – A Nigerian AirForce Alpha Jet aircraft on a non-combatant mission crashed on Monday at Dargol Village at about 1.05 p.m. 60 kilometres West of Niamey, Niger Republic.

At the accident, two pilots on board fighter jet also died at the spot.

It was comfirm that the Alpha Jet aircraft was one of the four based in Niamey, Niger Republic as part of Africa-led Support Mission in Mali.

The Nigerian Air Force, who disclosed this in a statement said investigation had commenced to unravel the circumstances that led to the accident, while further information on the crash will be made known as soon as the families of the deceased pilots were informed.
