When Is The Draw & The Venue
The date and venue of the draw is below. Usually, the draw takes place in Nyon, Switzerland, this year’s will be in Monaco, France.

The Champions League is contested by 32 different teams. The teams in pot 1 are the teams that won their different countries league titles (7 teams). Real Madrid, although won the La Liga, has automatic qualification as the winners of the Champions League. This gives room for the Champions of Ukraine (the 8 best ranked team by UEFA) to join pot one.

When Is the Group Stage Starting?
