Conte’s is a tactical genius:

Enough has been said and written by Conte’s 3-4-3 formation. If anything, this game shows he’s much more than a formation coach but a tactical coach. After experimenting with the 3-5-2 against Crystal Palace, he returned to his favourite 3-4-3 formation. Without having the services of Victor Moses, he pushed Azpilicueta in a wingback position while bringing in Zouma in the right of Defence. Azpilicueta from the wingback position, assisted Hazard for the first goal. In the second half, he removed Zouma and replaced him with Matic. Effectively, Pedro returned to wingback and Azpilicueta to centre back. With this switch, Chelsea reverted to a 3-5-2 while professionally seeing out the game without being at any major risk of losing the game.
The Brazilian defensive show:

In came Vincent Kompany into the city defence after a long period on the outside due to injury. Although the ball deflected off him for Hazard’s goal, he had a professional performance. He won 3 out of 5 aerial duels, 3 interceptions and 5 clearances. City has really missed him. The other Brazilian? David Luiz. He made a total of 7 clearances, 2 interceptions and 3 blocks. He was everywhere for Chelsea in the game.

Costa fires blank again:

Who can remember what it feels like seeing Costa score? Once again, he failed to score. Diego Costa has only 3 league games after being linked to the Chinese Super League in January. Although, his struggles in front of goal is masked with the contributions of Hazard, Fabregas, Pedro and Willian. If Chelsea must see the league title off sooner than expected, Costa needs to be among the goals again.
