Conditions For Redeployment/Relocation By The NYSC Board.
As stated earlier, one must meet certain conditions to be able to have his application attended to. Below are the reasons that the NYSC will consider your request to redeploy to another state:
- Marital Conditions: This condition applies to married women. If they wish to be redeployed to the husband’s state of residence, they can apply for redeployment. A corps member who finds herself in such situation should apply in writing after the swearing-in Ceremony stating why he/she wants to be relocated. The application letter should be addressed to the Director-General through the State Coordinator. This application must come with the following documents:
- A valid marriage certificate.
- A document showing change of name in any of the National Newspapers and Affidavit.
- A letter from your husband’s workplace which will serve as evidence that your husband is domiciled in the state you want to relocate to.
- Health/Medical grounds: People with chronic and extreme health conditions can apply for redeployment to where they can be closely monitored. The individual will need a medical report from your institution’s medical centre or from a recognized hospital. Please note that these claims on health grounds are subject to further confirmation to establish its authenticity.
- Security grounds: Prospective corps members can apply for redeployment if posted to states with fragile security concerns. Some states faced with Boko Haram insurgency pose threats to lives of Corps members. As such, no one would love to be sent to such state for the National service.
