Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualify candidates for the advertised programmes of College of Health Technology, Calabar. Below are the programmes you can apply for. Also added are the requirements and the duration for each course.

|2a.||ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH OFFICER (ND)||TWO (2)/FOUR (4) YEARS||Minimum entry requirement into National Diploma (ND) in Environmental Health Science Programme is five (5) O’level credits in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology or Health Science in either WAEC/NECO at not more than two sittings. Candidates with JAMB score of 160 and above have added advantage.||ND, HND IN ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH TECHNOLOGY (WAHEB)|
|2b.||ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH TECHNICIAN||THREE (3) YEARS||Minimum of 5 passees in O’level WASSC/SSCE/GCE/NECO at not more than 2 sittings. Three (3) of the passes must be at at credit level and should include English Language, Biology or Health Science, Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Agricultural Science, Technical Drawing and any other subject.||ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH TECHNICIAN DIPLOMA (WAHEB)|
|2c.||ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH ASSISTANTS||TWO (2) YEARS||Four (4) O’level passes which should include at least one science subject (Biology, Chemistry, Health Science, Nutrition, Physics). A pass in English Language will be an added advantage.||CERTIFICATE|
|3a.||COMMUNITY HEALTH EXTENSION WORKER (CHEW)||THREE (3) YEARS||Five (5) Credit level passes at WASSC/SSCE/GCE/NECO O’level not more than two (2) sittings.|
These must include:
English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Health Science. Also, candidates with JCHEW certificates have an added advantage.

|3b.||JUNIOR COMMUNITY HEALTH EXTENSION WORKER (JCHEW)||TWO (2) YEARS||Three (3) credits and two (2) passes at O’level WASSC or NECO in not more than two sittings to include English Language, Mathematics, Biology/Health Science and any other two subjects.||CERTIFICATE IN JUNIOR COMMUNITY HEALTH (NCHPBC)|
|4a.||PROFESSIONAL DIPLOMA IN HEALTH INFORMATION MGT||THREE (3) YEARS||Five credits in O’level at not more than two sittings at the SSCE/WASSC or its equivalent. The subjects must include: English Language, Mathematics, Biology or Health Science, Physics or Chemistry and any other subject.||DIPLOMA IN HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT (HRORBN)|
|4b.||ND HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT||TWO (2) YEARS||Five (5) O’level credits in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology or Health Science in either WAEC/NECO at not more than two sittings. Only candidates with JAMB score of 160 and above are eligible.||NATIONAL DIPLOMA IN HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT|
|4c.||HND HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT||TWO (2) YEARS||National Diploma (ND) in H.I.M with a minimum of lower credit. Health Record Technician Certificate with a minimum of lower credit and five (5) O’level credits in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology or Health Science in either WAEC/NECO at not more than two sittings. Candidates must have completed one year industrial attachment. Those with ND with initial JAMB score of 160 are not required to write JAMB. However, candidates without ND certificates are required to have a JAMB score of 160 and above.||HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA IN HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT|
|5a.||MEDICAL LABORATORY ASSISTANTS||TWO (2) YEARS||WASSC/SSCE/GCE/NECO – Three (3) Credit passes in the following subjects:|
English Language, Biology and any other subject. A pass in Mathematics and Chemistry is compulsory. (Results more than ten years as at the date of this registration will be rejected by the Registration Board.
|MEDICAL LAB. ASSISTANT CERTIFICATE|
|5b.||MEDICAL LABORATORY TECHNICIAN||THREE (3) YEARS||Requires WASSC/SSCE/GCE/NECO – Four credit passes in the following subjects:|
English Language, Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry with at least a pass in Physics. (Results more than ten years as the date of this registration will be rejected by the Registration Board). Holders of Medical Lab. Assistant certificate with the above O’level.
|MEDICAL LAB. TECHNICIAN CERTIFICATE|
|6.||DISPENSING OPTICIANRY||THREE (3) YEARS||Four (4) credit passes at not more than two (2) sittings in WASSC/SSCE/GCE/NECO in the following subjects:|
English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics with a minimum of pass in English Language or Mathematics. A candidate with a minimum of 10 years cognate experience in optical dispensing (apprenticeship), who has two or three credits in any of these subjects may also be considered for admission.
|7.||COMPUTER SCIENCE||TWO (2) YEARS||Four credit level passes in WASSC/SSCE/GCE/NECO at not more than two sittings. The four subjects must include Mathematics, Physics, English Language and any other subject. JAMB score of 160 and above (JAMB subjects are English Language, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry).|
Candidates with a pass in Computer Foundation Examination (CFE) of the Computer Professionals Registration Council of Nigeria (CPN) are also accepted. Such candidates must also have credit passes in the required O’level subjects.
|NATIONAL DIPLOMA IN COMPUTER SCIENCE|
|8.||RADIOGRAPHY (DARK ROOM TECHNICIAN PROGRAMME)||THREE (3) YEARS||Five (5) credit passes at not more than two (2) sittings in WASSC/SSCE/GCE/NECO in the following subjects:|
English Language, Mathematics plus either Physics, Chemistry or Biology and any other two (2) subjects.
Holder of Certificate in Medical Dark Room Practice (Dark Room Asst. Certificate) plus the above stated requirements will require two (2) years traning for Medical Dark Room Technician Programme.
|9.||PHARMACY TECHNICIAN||THREE (3) YEARS||Five (5) credits at not more than two (2) sittings in WASSC/SSCE/GCE/NECO in the following subjects:|

How To Apply For Calabar College of Health Technology Admission Online in 2016/2017
To get started with your 2016/17 application online, candidates are expected to buy application scratch card. So where can you buy the Calabar College of Health Technology admission application scratch cards? Scratch cards are available at First Bank Nig. Plc.
How much is the scratch card? You will get the application scratch card on payment of the sum of N5000 (five thousand Naira) into the College’s account number: 2001543971.
You can now proceed to the CHTCalabar admission portal to start your application.
- Get a scanned copy of your passport ready for upload.
- Your passport should not be larger than 2MB and 150 pixels by 150 pixels in dimension. Accepted file formats are jpg, jpeg and png.
- You will be required to enter your SSCE results, so have them with you.
- When entering your results, specify the year, type (WASSCE, NECO, GCE etc) subjects and grades.
- Read the requirements for each programme and ensure that you meet the requirements for your first and second choices.
- Your date of birth should be in the format DD-MM-YYYY.
- When you are done, review your form before clicking the submit button.
- No changes will be allowed after submission of form.
- Your scratch card allows you three log-ins. Use them wisely.
