Court to hear suit to stop General Buhari on 23rd February

Abuja Federal High CourtThe Federal High Court in Abuja has fixed the 23rd of this month to hear a suit challenging the eligibility of the Presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress, APC, General Muhammadu Buhari.

The suit seeking the disqualification of the APC candidate in the March 28th polls was filed by an Abuja based Lawyer, Max Ozoka and Chukwunweike Okafor.

Justice Adeniyi Ademola had in separate suits challenging Buhari’s eligibility last week, granted ex-parte order permitting the plaintiffs to serve the defendants through newspaper publication.

When the matter came up in court, General Buhari and his party, represented by their Counsel, Chief Wole Olanipekun and Lateef Fagbemi, urged the court to give them some time to file the necessary documents to challenge the competence of the case.

The Presiding Judge, Adeniyi Ademola, adjourned the matter to the 23rd of this month for continuation.
