Office of the National Security Adviser has denied speculations that it ordered the arrest of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Aminu Tambuwal.
A statement by the Director, Special Duties of the NSA, retired Colonel Bello Fedile says the NSA has not been in the country since Wednesday last week and could not have issued such directives.
The statement assures Nigerians that while the law must be allowed to take its course, the NSA will not abdicate its foremost responsibility of advising the President appropriately on how to effectively maintain peace and the territorial integrity of Nigeria.
It advises the public to be very vigilant and not be hoodwinked by propaganda of desperate politicians who are willing to sacrifice the security, unity, peace and stability of the country in the alter of selfish political gains.
