We can pause, start, stop and resume all we can without having to bother about starting the buffering afresh. It is a very simple process to download Netflix videos and movies online. However, there are some requirements you have to meet up with to be able to carry this out.

Netflix Offline Download Requirements

1. You will need an active Netflix subscription.
2. You will need an active internet connection while downloading the movies and TV shows. Once downloaded, you don’t need to be connected to the internet.
3. Not all videos on Netflix can be stored offline. Only a select few are available, denoted clearly in the menu.
4. You can download individual episodes of TV shows, so you don’t need to download full seasons at a time.
5. The “My Downloads” option in the menu shows everything you have downloaded.
6. The “Available for download” option shows everything that you can download to watch offline. Also, this section has recommendations based on your likes just like the main menu.
7. You can download videos to multiple devices.
8. Downloaded movies and TV shows can only be viewed on the device you downloaded them onto.

Now we have sorted this out, lets download Netflix offline.

1. Choose your download quality. Netflix offers two quality levels for downloads: Standard and High. So, you will have to specify before you download. To do so,
   1. Select the menu icon on the left and scroll down to App Settings.
   2. From there, under the Downloads heading, click or tap Video Quality and select your preferred quality.
2. Select available videos to download. Like we pointed out above, not every video is available for offline viewing. So, you have to download from the ones available. How can you do that?  Netflix has made downloadable titles easy to find by arranging them in a special section called simply “Available for Download”.
   1. To get there, click or tap the Menubutton in the upper-left corner — it will be the first option below the Home section.
   2. If you’re searching for specific titles, simply make sure they have  the download icon, which is a downward arrow with a horizontal line beneath it.
3. Download: So, after you have found the movie you want to download, then, click on the download arrow by the side of the movie and it will be downloaded into the download location you chose.
4. Please Note: for android users. You can only download titles to the same storage device on which the Netflix app is stored. This means that, if you want to download content to an SD card, you’ll need to install the Netflix app there as well.

How Much Space Do You Need?

As with every downloading, there is no specifying. But, as you already know, it will depend on the following factors

1. The download quality you chose. The High quality will consume more space than the standard quality.
2. The movie duration. This is very simple. The longer the movie, the higher the space you need.
3. Furthermore, the space in the device location you chose will also determine how much more space you will need after considering options 1 & 2 above.
