Ebola Virus News Updates – Nigeria and China have signed an agreement on grant assistance of Two Hundred and Sixty Two Million Naira worth of medical protection.
The grant is for assisting the Federal Government on the fight against Ebola Virus and other identified problems as presented by the Federal Ministry of Health at the last meeting with International Development Partners.
The Minister of National Planning, Dr. Olanrewaju Suleiman signed on behalf of the Federal Government while Ambassador Guq Xiaojie signed on behalf of the Chinese government.
Speaking at the signing ceremony in Abuja, Dr. Sulaiman expressed the hope that the grant would fill critical gaps in the country’s development drive to contain the spread of Ebola Virus in Nigeria.
The Minister said China is currently re-strategizing to take advantage of the recent opportunities in the country for enhanced private sector investment and foreign Direct Investment to Nigeria.
