Ebonyi State News: How To Apply For Governor David Umahi Mentorship Programme

The government of Ebonyi in conjunction with the Ministry of Economic Empowerment and Job Creation has announced an empowerment programme tagged Governor David Umahi Mentorship Programme. This empowerment programme is aimed at “guaranteeing the future of Ebonyi people”. This information was contained in a Press Release by Chief Donatus Njoku, the honourable Commissioner for the Ministry of Economic Empowerment and Job Creation.

The Governor David Umahi Mentorship Programme “shall mentor youths in the areas of Road Construction, Water Projects, Surveying, Building, Electrical, Mechanical, Technological Development, Administration, Law, Catering, Agricultural Engineering, ICT, Business Management and Motivational Speech Making. Candidates shall be selected on the basis of equality of Local Government Areas and merit, and will be given refresher courses for a period of one year with sustainable allowances”.

How To Apply Apply For Governor David Umahi Mentorship Programme

Note, the Governor David Umahi Mentorship Programme is open to all Ebonyians from the 13 local governments in the state. The processes of applying include the following:

1. Interested applicants must possess first Degree/HND in Civil Engineering.
2. They should apply in writing and addressed to “The commissioner, Ministry of Economic Empowerment and Job Creation – Ebonyi State”.
3. The photocopies of the following credentials must be attached to the application (a) credentials (b) CVs (c) LGA identification certificates
4. Deadline is April 14^th, 2017;
5. Also, applications are invited from interested resource persons.

Note: The first phase shall commence by May 2017 with only one sector- Civil engineering.

After The Programme, What Next?

The selected candidates will be given refresher courses for a period of one year with sustainable allowances. At the end of the mentorship programme, Government shall group the successful ones into companies, buy working equipment for them and use them to do the projects of Government at the State and Local Government Area levels on mouth watering fees.

Those already employed or have businesses are not eligible as it is full time programme.
