What is Ads.txt File?
Ads.txt File is an IAB(Interactive Advertising Bureau) initiative to improve transparency in programmatic advertising. In order word, the file specifies an instruction or system for publishers to list their authorized digital sellers, to help fight against fraud and misrepresented domains.
The Ads.txt File comes in FOUR different field:
Field #1 – Domain name of the advertising system
Field #2 – Publisher’s Account ID (Required)
Field #3 – Type of Account/Relationship
Field #4 – Certification Authority ID (Optional)
Which you then see as this:

- Click on “Install Now”. Then “Activate” plugin after installation is complete.
- Then go back to your home dashboard and hover your mouse on “Settings”, then click on “Ads.txt” – that is the plugin your just installed.
- Include the following line:

- Create a text (.txt) file.
- Include the following line:
google.com, pub-0000000000000000, DIRECT, f08c47fec0942fa0
Please remember toreplace pub-0000000000000000
with your own publisher ID. - Host your ads.txt file at the root level of your domain. (for example, ).
Simple! and that solves it all.
How to Locate Your AdSense Publisher ID
- Login to your AdSense account
- Click on “Account”
- Wait for it to load. Under “Account information” you get your publisher ID – here is your adsense Publisher ID with other information
