How To Generate Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) For Online Payment

To generate RRR for payment to Federal and state govts as well as to pay billers, here is your guideline.

To Pay Federal Government

  1. Go to www.remita.net
  2. Click “Pay FGN’s and State TSA”
  3. Select Pay Federal Government of Nigeria
  4. Type the name of the MDA from the “Name of MDA” field
  5. Then select the “Name Of Service/Purpose” that relates to the payment; and proceed with the rest of the steps in processing FGN TSA collection transactions on the platform.
    However, there is need to engage the intended beneficiary MDA to ascertain the appropriate service type that best suits the intended remittance.
  6. Click Submit to generate the RRR.

For State TSA

  1. Select the state you want to pay
  2. Type the name of the MDA from the “Who do you want to pay” field
  3. Thereafter, select the “Name Of Service/Purpose” that relates to the payment; and proceed with the rest of the steps in processing FGN TSA collection transactions on the platform.
    However, there is need to engage the intended beneficiary MDA to ascertain the appropriate service type that best suits the intended remittance.
  4. Click Submit to generate the RRR

To Pay a Biller:

  1. Go to www.remita.net
  2. Click “Pay A Biller”
  3. Type the name of the MDA/Corporate from the “Who do you want to pay” field
  4. Thereafter, select the “Name Of Service/Purpose” that relates to the payment; and proceed with the rest of the steps in processing transactions on the platform.
    However, there is need to engage the intended beneficiary biller to ascertain the appropriate service type that best suits the intended remittance.
  5. Click Submit to generate the RRR.

Remita Payment Platform – How To Make Payment On Remita

After generating the invoice, the next thing to do is to proceed with payment. There are some ways of making payment after generating the RRR. Remita allows you to pay conveniently in different ways, including Internet Banking, Remita Mobile App, Remita, Cards or Wallets, and paying at a Bank Branch.

Internet Banking: This allows you make a payment via the internet banking system. The said amount is transferred directly from your bank account into the beneficiary account via the Remita powered transfer. What you need to do is select the “Pay with internet banking” option. Icons of banks that support the internet banking service are displayed; click on your bank’s name and proceed with the rest of the steps to complete the transaction.

Cards or Wallets: This option allows you pay using your ATM card or your e-Wallet. Select the “Pay with Cards or Wallets” option and select your preferred card or e-Wallet service from the dropdown. Proceed with the rest of the steps to complete your transaction.

Bank Branch: This option allows you pay at any bank branch. Simply print your invoice from your email; if you can’t find it, go back to www.remita.net, click on “Resend RRR or Invoice”, enter your RRR on the next page and the invoice will be sent to your registered email. Proceed to any bank branch with the invoice and complete the transaction.
