After Facebook rolled out the new Facebook look, the old design/look was now called “Classic”. And now the update has gone global, meaning all Facebookers can now switch between either of the Facebook version.
This page discussed “how to Switch from Facebook Classic to New Facebook Design” and “switching from new Facebook to Facebook classic”. So whichever ways you best prefered to see your Facebook to look. Because you may not be pleased with the new or the old Facebook and you want to switch back.
You can always switch between both designs for now. Until Facebook announce again to remove the classic Facebook design – which we don’t don’t tell when or if it will actually happen.
But one important thing you have to note is the actual place to navigate to, and that is the ” small dark blue triangle” at the top right at the end from where you can read your name beside the Notifications option. Good to know as well that it is from the same place you can log out from Facebook account, switch on Facebook dark mode, and more.

How to switch from New Facebook Design to Classic (Old) Facebook
1. Login to your Facebook account
Visit the main Facebook web address www.facebook.com and login to your account.
2. Then navigate to “Account”
Click on the account menu to open the drop-down.
The account menu/bar is the “down-arrow” button – its positioned at the top-right side of the page. See the image below to guide you.
3. Select Reasons for switching to the Facebook Classic (old)
You are expected to select reasons for this action. This is to help Facebook and Team improve better.
Please note that the “Submit” won’t be active until you have selected at least one reason for switching back to Old Facebook account (classic). But you can as well click on “Skip” to switch without giving your reasons.
Now the switching process is complete.
How to switch from Old Classic Facebook Design to the New Facebook
Still the same place to navigate to.
- After you have logged into your Facebook account,
- Then click on the Facebook Account to see the drop-down,
- Then click on “Switch to New Facebook”
