The IMO State Government has made declaration to establish two modern markets in each of the twenty seven Local Government Areas in Imo State.
The Commissioner for Commerce and Market Development, Mr. Victor Ogbonna Amadi, made this known in an interview with Radio Nigeria in Abuja.
Mr. Ogbonna Amadi said the establishment of the markets in addition to the existing ones, became necessary following the resuscitation of ailing industries in the State and the need to create avenues through which the goods emanating from them could be sold out.
The Commissioner for Commerce and Market Development in Imo State said the establishment of new markets and revamping of moribund industries would further help to create employment opportunities for the youths in the state.
Mr. Victor Ogbonna-Amadi also urged the people of Imo State to exercise patience with the incoming administration of General Mohammadu Buhari as it sets to deliver the dividends of democracy.
