INEC pledges credible voter’s registration in Katsina State

Voter’s registration in Katsina State – The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in Katsina State, has pledged to give all eligible voters the opportunity to register for the 2015 general election.

The INEC Electoral Commissioner, Alhaji Abubakar Wara, stated this when the officials of the State Association of Local Governments of Nigeria, ALGON, paid him a courtesy visit.

Alhaji Abubakar said the Commission would ensure that the permanent voter’s cards would continue to be distributed at the Local Government Councils after the expiration of the period set aside for distribution.

Earlier, the ALGON Chairman, Alhaji Lawal Ibrahim, said they were at the INEC office to seek the extension of the distribution period to enable eligible voters to acquire the cards.
