Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso Kano State declares intention to contest for President
Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of Kano State has formerly declared his interest to contest next year’s Presidential election, on the platform of the All Progressive Congress.
Addressing a crowd of party faithful at the Old Parade grand in Abuja, governor Kwankwaso said he decided to join the race because of his desire for positively change the country.
The Governor urged APC members to go out and work for victory of the party in next year’s election.
APC Governors and stalwarts from across the country witnessed the declaration.
Meanwhile, the All Progressive Grand Alliance APGA has given assurance that the party would conduct transparent primaries to elects its flag bearers in the 2015 elections.
The National Vice Chairman of the party, Chief Uchenna Okogbuo made the pledge when an aspirant Chief Chikwe Udensi came to the party headquarters in Abuja to procure nomination forms to contest in the Abia Governorship race.
Chief Okogbue said the party would ensure that the most popular candidate emerges at its primaries ahead of the general election.
In a remark, Chief Chikwe Udensi said he was propelled to join the Abia governorship race because of the needs to salvage Abia State from what he described as underdevelopment.
Chief Udensi promised to harness the entrepreneurial skills of Abia people to raise the internally generated revenue of the State.
