Lagos News – The Lagos State Government is set to hold a one-day Voters Advocacy Programme to enlighten the electorates on the importance of obtaining the Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and the need to participate actively in the process leading to the 2015 general elections.
The Secretary to the State Government, Oluranti Adebule, added that the enlightenment programme became imperative because the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had ruled that only people with the cards would be allowed to vote at the next general elections.
Adebula implored all Lagosians to attend and participate actively in the awareness workshop as well as during the distribution of the PVCs by INEC, which will commence on Friday to end on Sunday.
