Nigerian Ports Authority 2015 Recruitment – The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) is a federal government agency that regulates and functions the Nigeria ports. The leading ports possessed by the NPA include: the Lagos Port Complex and Tin Can Island Port in Lagos; Calabar Port, Delta Port, Rivers Port at Port Harcourt, and Onne Port.
Operations of the NPA are carried out in affiliation with the Ministry of Transport and the Nigerian Shippers’ Council. The primary offices of the Nigerian Ports Authority are located in Lagos.
The Nigerian Ports Authority wishes to recruit suitably qualified candidates for the position of : MOORING MEN (BERTHING MEN)
The Authority, a government owned agency is charged with the responsibility of berthing / unberthing of vessels in the underlisted locations:
1. Lagos Pilotage District
2. Bonny / Port Harcourt Pilotage District
3. Warri Pilotage District
4. Calabar Pilotage District
5. Any other location regulated by NPA
Responsibilities among others are:
1. Safe berthing of vessels and crafts
2. Unberthing of vessels
Qualifications for Nigerian Ports Authority 2015 Recruitment :
1. Minimum of five (5) credits in SSSC / GCE or NECO at not more than two sittings including English and Mathematics
2. Age range: 18 – 21 years
3. Physical fitness
4. Ability to swim
