NIMC Registration – The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has warned that any one with double registration in the on-going identification number would be arrested and prosecuted.
The Director General of the Commission, Mr. Chris Onyemenam, stated this during a joint briefing on national issues at the National Information Centre, Abuja.
He explained that the process of getting the national identity card was free.
The Director General also announced that the process of filling the form would soon be made available on smart phones to make it easier for all Nigerians.
Mr.Onyemenam said the distribution of the cards which had already commenced would continue gradually to avoid any rush.
