NNPC : President Goodluck appoints New GMD

From the information gathered today, President Goodluck Jonathan has approved the appointment of a new Group Managing Director for the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and a new Managing Director for the Nigerian Petroleum Development Corporation (NPDC).

A statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Dr. Reuben Abati says the appointments take immediate effect.

Name of the new GMD of NNPC and MD of NPDC appointed by President Goodluck are:

The new GMD of NNPC is Dr. Joseph Thlama Dawha while the new MD of NPDC is Mr. Anthony Ugonna Muoneke.

Dr. Joseph Dawha replaces Dr. Andrew Yakub as GMD of NNPC.
