Prize to win: Expenses for travel, board and lodging covered, travel service provided. The award is endowed with a total prize money of CHF 20,000.

  • UBA Foundation 2016 International Essay Competition for Nigeria, Ghana and Senegal


The Second of the Essay Writing Competitions is The United Bank of Africa, (UBA) Foundation is offering the 2016 edition of its National Essay Competition for Secondary School Students to be awarded scholarship to study in African Universities.

Essay Topic is: “If you were in a position to help the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), what would you do?”

Deadline: 4th November, 2016.

The educational grant is only applicable to applicants who intend to study in Africa University

Prize to be won:

1st Prize – N1 million educational grant to study in any African university of his/her choice

2nd Prize – N750,000 educational grants

3rd Prize – N500,000 educational grants
