How To Use Gmail Offline Without Data

Before now, i never realised it was totally impossible to use Gmail offline. Perhaps, you are like me. You never thought it was possible. But here, i am going to show you how you can use Gmail offline even when you are not connected to the internet. For most of use, checking our email services is a daily ritual. So, it makes sense if we can reduce the data we use on checking our mails.

Yes! everyone can now use Gmail offline without data.This is a recent feature dished out by Google. It is meant to help users for many purposes. But then, it requires some instruments to be effective. let’s show you.

Gmail Offline requirements

What do you need to use Gmail offline? Well, it requires you to have a Google Chrome browser installed on your device. Note, this can only happen using the PC or web version. That is, going to www.gmail.com or mail.google.com. It cannot be done using the mobile app.

How To Use Gmail Offline

below is how you can set up Gmail offline mode.

1. Turn on Gmail offline

On your computer, make sure you’ve downloaded Chrome. You can only use Gmail offline in a Chrome browser window, not using Incognito mode.

  1. Go to Gmail offline settings.
  2. Check “Enable offline mail.”
  3. Choose your settings, such as how many days of messages you want to sync.
  4. Click Save changes.

2. Bookmark Gmail to use offline

You can bookmark your inbox to make accessing your email offline easier.

  1. In Chrome, open your Gmail inbox.
  2. To the right of the address bar, click Star Star.

3. Use Gmail offline

To use Gmail when you’re not connected to the Internet, go to mail.google.com, or click on the bookmark you created for Gmail offline in Chrome.

How To Uninstall Gmail offline

When you no longer want to use the offline mode, here is what you can do.

Step 1: Remove your offline data

  1. On your computer, open Google Chrome.
  2. At the top right, click More More and then Settings.
  3. At the bottom, click Advanced.
  4. Under “Privacy and security,” click Content settings and then Cookies.
  5. Click See all cookies and site data and then Remove all.

Step 2: Turn off Gmail offline

  1. Go to Gmail offline settings.
  2. Uncheck “Enable offline mail.”

What Can You do With Gmail offline?

You can do the following even when your Gmail offline mode is activated.

  1. You can read your mails.
  2. Respond to messages
  3. And, search your Gmail messages even when you aren’t connected to the Internet by visiting mail.google.com.

Can I Send Mails on Offline Mode?

When you send emails offline, your email goes into a new “Outbox” folder and gets sent as soon as you go back online.
