Earlier yesterday the Full-Length Video of Trailer for Disney’s ‘Moana’ was released. The trailer teases the big adventure between Moana and Maui, as well as the gorgeous animation. According to ComingSoon.com that “Moana” is the first animated Disney film to feature a Polynesian princess. The trailer gives the first real glimpse of Moana, as well as demigod Maui in action. It also features some of Hamilton’s Lin-Manuel Miranda, Opetaia Foa’i and Mark Mancina’s original music.

“Moana” is a sweeping, CG-animated feature film about an adventurous teen who sails out on a daring mission to save her people. During her journey, Moana (Auli’i Cravalho) meets the once-mighty demigod Maui (Dwayne Johnson), who guides her in her quest to become a master way finder. Together, they sail across the open ocean on an action-packed voyage. Along the way they encounter enormous monsters and impossible odds. In addition, Moana fulfills the ancient quest of her ancestors and discovers the one thing she’s always sought: her own identity.
The film joins a long list of other animated films vying for Oscar attention this year. Disney already has the hit “Zootopia” on its hands, for instance. Pixar has “Finding Dory” to promote. Other big hitters include “Kubo and the Two Strings” (Focus Features), “My Life As a Zucchini” (GKIDS) and “Sing” (Illumination/Universal).
