So we are stating every available post and application requirements for it.

On this page we want to let you understand that even ever there is a recruitment going on in the Nigeria Immigration service you should know its official websites and requirements for the application also.

Some of you may be confused on which one is the correct Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) official portal, well we are also going to be clearing your confusion here too by making every information here understanding.

Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) Official Portal

This time you really do not have to get confused anymore because NIS portal are TWO (2) different types, here they are listed below:

  • immigration.gov.ng

The portal.immigration.gov.ng is the major website where information on International Passport, how to apply, how to renew and other information is announced. Meanwhile, its not for recruitment, instead the site is majorly on services the office renders to the public in general.

  • www.nisrecritment.org.ng

www.nisrecritment.org.ng is second official website where announcement is been made for any vacancies for recruitment into any position. This website is called “Nigeria Immigration Service e-Recruit Portal”.  ON the site you check out for available position you can apply, General information and/or continue or view your applications status.

So now you know all the NIS websites – you need not to be deceived any more for any fake information that may arise in future.

Requirements to Apply NIS Recruitment

Just as the position you may want to apply has its own requirements depending the post. There are three post/position to apply and its required documents for the post:

1.  Assistant Superintendent of Immigration II
→ Applicant must possess a minimum of first degree from a recognized institution of higher learning.
→ NYSC discharged certificate
→ Applicants must be between the ages of 18-30 years

2.  Senior Inspector of Immigration (SII) & Assistant Inspector of Immigration (AII)
→ Applicants for Senior Inspector of Immigration (SII) must possess a minimum of Higher National Diploma (HND) from a recognized institution.
→ Applicants for Senior Inspector of Immigration (SII) must be between the ages of 18-30 years.
→ NYSC certificate is compulsory for senior Inspector of Immigration (SII)
→ Applicants for Assistant Inspector of Immigration (AII) must possess a minimum of NCE/OND from a recognized institution.
→ Applicants fo Assistant Inspector of Immigration(AII) must be between the ages of 18-26 years.

3.  Immigration Assistant III (IA ”’)
→ Applicant must be a holder of SSCE, NECO, GCE O/Level with minimum of four(4) credit in not more than 2 sittings, which should include English and Maths.
→ Applicants must be between the ages of 18-25 years.

There are different requirements every interested application should get in order to be qualify to apply for Nigeria Immigration Service Job. The “General Requirements” is the requirements all application will have irrespective of the post you are aspiring for or educational qualifications

  • Be a Nigerian citizen by birth or descent;
  • Not less than 18 years or more than 35 years of age;
  • Not less than 1.7 metres in height for male and 1.64 metres for female;
  • Have a fully expanded chest measurement of not less than 0.87 metres;
  • Be certified by a Government Medical Officer to be physically and mentally fit for appointment into the Service;
  • Not suffering from any form of mental or physical disability;
  • Be free from any form of financial embarrassment;
  • Be of good character and must not have been found guilty of any criminal offence;
  • Candidates with any of the following medical cases need not apply:
    →Impediment in speech (stammerer/dumb)
    →Gross malformation of teeth
    →Knocked knees
    →Bent knees
    →Bow legs
    →K-legs
    →Flat foot
    →Limb legs
    →Bent arms/deformed hands/fracture
    →Defective eye sight (squint-eye, crossed eye, one-eyed and total blindness)
    →Amputation of any part of physical body
    →Hearing impaired (deaf)
    →Hunched back
    →Obesity
    →Pregnancy
    →Medical challenges and any other physical deformity not mentioned

 

The Educational/Academy Requirements now depends on the qualifications you are using to apply for NIS receuirmrnt. Below are qualifications that applies for the Nigeria Immigration:

→ O/Level (This includes:  SSCE, NECO, GCE, NABTEB) with minimum of four(4) credit
NYSC discharged certificate
→ Degrees such as; Higher National Diploma (HND), National Diploma (ND), National Certificate of Education (NCE), A Bachelor degree and other degrees which may be required as stated on the NIS application website.

Please Note: You MUST avoid who so ever that may ask you to pay any amount of money to give you NIS recruitment form or Job/position. Such people are fraudster and should be reported to any appropriate office that could pick up the matter.
